This term Year 3 have been learning about the Stone Age. The children have been really excited and enthused by this topic. Their homework has been amazing, turning our classrooms into mini museums!
They all became researchers, writing reports and leaflets to display their interesting facts. Did you know, Stone Age people used to wear fur and animal skin to keep warm, whilst drilling holes in their heads to cure a headache? Imagine doing that now!
In our PE we have been thinking about using our bodies and breathing in a calm way. We have used mindfulness and yoga to explore a variety of stories, using our bodies to convey the plot.
In music, the children have been learning to play the recorder. They are learning various notes and how to read music whilst playing.
Linking to our Stone Age topic, we have been learning about how our diets have changed over time. We created menus for a healthy meal, as well as considering how varieties of animals have different diets.
We also kick-started our French learning and went on a magical journey all the way to PARIS! We had to use our passports and make sure we didn’t lose our ticket on the Eurostar. Once we arrived, we ordered lunch in a French Cafe. We ate croissants and juice whilst taking in the French sights. What a great term it has been!
