Our school seeks to optimize educational opportunities and outcomes for children of all abilities and backgrounds, enabling every pupil to achieve confidence and success through high quality educational experiences rich in core learning.
School vision: To be the BEST you can be
At Waterwells Primary we want all of our children to be as successful as they can be in all aspects of school life. We want to see all of them achieve well, enjoy social times and demonstrate a positive attitude towards their learning and play.
We have four key values that underpin everything we do. The values relate to the word BEST:
- Believe (Believe in themselves and others, show respect)
- Engage (Engage with learning, rules and with others/ teamwork)
- Succeed (Succeed, aspire and achieve)
- Try (Try, effort, persistence and resilience)
Everyone is expected to take on board these values at all times when they are at school and the children are rewarded with ‘BEST’ house points for exceeding the expected in relation to these areas.
- Be kind
- Be honest
- Be responsible
- Show respect
- Try our BEST
Being part of Waterwells Primary means you agree to the school code. The code is shared with children and continually referred to in everyday school life. Sanctions are in place for those who choose not to follow the school code and time is given for the children to reflect on their actions. Identified staff work with the children to discuss their choices, actions and consequences so they can learn to make the right choices in the future.
